The Big Switch

The week is almost over now. I usually don't go to work during fridays because I have classes on Saturdays. I made an exception for this week despite the fact that my boss is out of the country. I think I have a lot of unfinished business pero hindi pa naman ako magpapakamatay. I mean, I am troubled right now because of a career decision. I don't know if I could resign today and pay for my contract to get a job I really want pero pays less compared to my current salary or, stay here and maximize what is being given to me. Hirap magdecide. I wish God could whisper the answer to my ears but I guess all I could do is ask for guidance.

It's my birthday next week. Not really excited because of some things occupied in my mind. My short term plan for today is to come up with something for my celebration as we go to my parents house. I am sure that the rain would prevent us to do outdoor so its better that we just cook something with less sugar. Btw, my father just found out that he is also diabetic like my mom. His sugar rating (?) is 237 and the normal would only be around 120 or so. I better watch my eating right now if I want a healthy life ahead of me. tsk tsk tsk.

Wait a minute, I thought this blog is for my baby girl? ... Ashley's doing fine right now. She did not caught fever again as I was worried with my last blog. We came home quite early last night to find out a very exciting toddler. I heard she was playing hide and seek with her lolo when we arrived. Being ever excited, she had a bump when we were going up stairs to catch up with mom while she is changing. Good thing, nothing serious happened, after a while the bump is gone. We also switched places in bed last night. The original set up was dad beside mom and mom beside ashley. The reason for the big switch is jealousy (wow! big deal ito!). Before, its always 'daddy' that comes out of her mouth even when she calls her mom but right now, its the other way around. As I told my wife before, its ok that ashley loves me more than you instead of ashley loving somebody else more than us. Tama naman diba? Now I have to deal with this advise. Huhuhu...

My Baby Girl

Hello blog world! This is my second attempt to establish a "working" blog. Wala naman akong ginagawa ngyon sa office or I'm just in the mood to write something good. To begin with, her name is Ashley, short for Azelea Maeve. Saying her full name faster and faster will eventually sound like her nickname (as experimented by mom and dad). Some says she's my carbon copy but I think she's more beautiful than I am. She's 1 year and 8 months now and almost have a complete set of teeth. She also knows quite a lot of words, mostly cartoon characters, animals, and expressions. She knows how to slap, pinch and stare straight at you. This blog would contain more of her tricks, misadventures and bloopers that I think my wife and the spoilers (lolo's and lola's) would love.

Ashley caught a slight fever yesterday. I got worried as talks about dengue is wide spread now because of the rain and other factors. I hope her dengue vaccine works... Its expensive enough to complete her vaccines when I remember not getting any of this when we were young. Her last vaccine for this year would be at the end of august for meningococcemia worth 2 thousend pesoses. The last she had was a booster worth Php2500 which was just last month. I really hope this all works for the better or else I'll be demanding a refund. Hehehe.

She also made it difficult for us to sleep last night. We came home late and accidently woke her up when we arrived. Getting sleepy after a heavy dinner did not make her feel the same. We found ourselves still watching Madagascar (mukang maganda naman, impairness) and fighting to be awake just to put her to sleep.
